List of academic publications

The FinEst Centre for Smart Cities’ ongoing work is deeply rooted in academia. Since December 2019, nearly 20 multidisciplinary research groups, comprising around 150 researchers and urban developers across five themes (research & innovation areas), have actively contributed to academic literature. Their output includes journal and conference papers, book chapters, and theses.

While these research groups and contributors are primarily associated with Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech) and Aalto University, the authorship of these publications extends globally.

The works from 2019 to 2023 are predominantly funded (5.5 million euros) by the H2020-based FinEst Twins project (GA856602). Subsequent papers are increasingly supported by other international projects, primarily funded by the European Commission.
