3D models in city planning

City planning is a complex process that requires many factors to be taken into account. 3D building models can help Gdynia’s urban planners understand how new structures will affect the existing urban environment. These models can help predict the impact of new buildings on wind flow, noise levels and heat distribution in a city. The use of such solutions is very important in cities. It will allow for a sustainable development of the urban fabric. Introducing such a challenge in Gdynia would make it possible to realise another innovative step in building the ‘city of the sea and the dreams of Poles’, as Gdynia is called.
