Welcome to join the Smart City Challenge 2025 introduction session!
The goal of this webinar is to outline expectations for cities and real estate developers submitting their challenges for the 5th Round of the Smart City Challenge by September 30—a unique opportunity to co-create innovative, sustainable solutions for complex urban issues.
We’ll also highlight opportunities for researchers and companies to propose solution ideas for these challenges by November 30.
In this round, €800,000 in funding is available per pilot project. We aim to start two pilots focusing on developing safe cities, happy cities, and climate-resilient cities.

Online. A Zoom link will be sent to registered participants a few days before the event.
Please register by May 27.
Each city is warmly welcome to propose 1-3 challenges by sending them to smartcity@taltech.ee using the template “Proposing city challenge”.
The collected challenges will provide valuable input for researchers and developers to propose relevant solution ideas.
