Webinar: Metaverse strategy for the Baltic Sea Region

The MetaCities project team and FinEst Centre invite you to join a 2-hour webinar about the emerging Metaverse concept and the roadmap for developing the Metaverse in the Baltic Sea Region.

During the webinar, you will learn about ideas generated in five regional stakeholder workshops: Norrbotten (Sweden), Oulu (Finland), Estonia, Latvia, and Warmia and Mazury (Poland).

Following the presentations, we will conduct a small group exercise to integrate the generated ideas into a Metaverse Joint Action Plan for the Baltic Sea Region.

WHEN?

June 18, 2024, at 10.00 – 12.00 (EEST).

The Meta City concept is associated with the use of state-of-the-art AR and VR technologies for optimizing urban processes and building a more sustainable and inclusive urban environment. It closely aligns with enhancements in Internet connectivity, including the country-wide availability of 5G and forthcoming 6G technologies.

The webinar is open for a wide range of stakeholders, including companies working with urban innovation, visualisation and connectivity related technologies, cities, ministries, researchers, real estate developers, and funding agencies. Your input is important for us to understand what value the Metaverse could bring to all affected stakeholders!

Registration is open until 17th of June, 2024. The Zoom link will be sent to registered participants via email.
