Seminar: Increasing Digitalisation Awareness and Readiness of Estonian Communities

Digitalisation is becoming increasingly important for local governments – smart solutions help manage resources more efficiently, improve residents’ quality of life, and support sustainable development. But where to begin? What free tools are available to support the development of cities and municipalities?

The European Commission, the FinEst Centre for Smart Cities, and the Estonian Association of Cities and Municipalities invite you to a hands-on and insightful seminar on April 24th.

Throughout the day, we’ll introduce European and Estonian initiatives that support the development of smart communities, explore the potential of digital twins for local governments, and discuss the role of data spaces and smart platforms. We’ll also look at how these solutions can help achieve national and regional goals.

Please note that most presentations will be given in Estonian.

See the agenda and register here by April 21!

During the event, we’ll present free tools, share best practices, and offer practical advice:

  • Get an overview of EU and Estonian strategies for supporting digital development.
  • Learn how digital twins, data spaces, and smart platforms can accelerate city and municipal development – and how you can make the most of them.
  • Take part in discussions and a workshop to identify actionable solutions and collaboration opportunities.
  • Discover funding opportunities that can help your local government begin or advance its digital journey.

The seminar will be followed by three virtual short trainings, where we’ll dive deeper into the digital maturity assessment tools and how to build a digital roadmap. You can register for these via the same April 24 form, and more information on each session will be shared soon.
