Doctoral thesis: Exploring the Journey towards Smarter Sustainable Cities

Celebrating Luiza Schuch de Azambuja’s successful PhD defense

On June 5th, an early-stage researcher in the FinEst Centre, Luiza Schuch de Azambuja, successfully defended her doctoral thesis at TalTech’s Ragnar Nurkse Department of Innovation and Governance.

Her research focused on technology governance, specifically exploring the journey towards smarter sustainable cities and the development of evolving governance practices.

Luiza’s thesis, titled “Exploring the Journey towards Smarter Sustainable Cities: Capacity Development for Evolving Governance Practices,” explored crucial aspects of how cities can become smarter and more sustainable through effective governance.
